BROOKS LUBY/BROOKS LTD
For over half a century, I have led Brooks LTD as its founder and sole designer, crafting and selling my collections from my private Denver, Colorado atelier.
Sustainability has become central to my design philosophy. Hand stitching, mending, and recycling are now woven into the heart of my creative process. This evolution mirrors a vital shift in fashion—acknowledging how textile waste affects our planet. Through these practices, I work to keep garments wearable longer, ensuring they remain cherished pieces rather than landfill contributions.
Beyond integrating these values into my collections, I share mending techniques through teaching. This educational mission gives students the tools to care for and repair their own wardrobes, making a real difference in reducing textile waste. It's an approach that marries artistry with environmental consciousness. I welcome learners of every gender to discover how mending, repairing, and reusing can give their pieces new life while honoring our collective responsibility to the environment.
