OUR SPEAKER:
John Fullerton is an economic philosopher, writer, teacher, and impact investor. He is considered the architect of Regenerative Economics, first conceived in his 2015 booklet, Regenerative Capitalism: How Universal Patterns and Principles Will Shape the New Economy. In 2018 he published the companion work, Finance for a Regenerative World. His book, Regenerative Economics: Revolutionary thinking for a World in Crisis was published by New Society Publishers on November 17th, 2025.
After a successful 20-year career on Wall Street where he was a Managing Director of what he calls “the old JPMorgan,” John listened to a persistent inner voice and walked away in 2001 with no plan but many questions. A few months later he experienced 9-11 firsthand. The questions crystalized into his life’s work with the creation of the Capital Institute in 2010. Capital Institute is dedicated to the bold reimagination of economics and finance in service to life.
John’s work is now featured in the 8-week online course: “Regenerative Economics: New Ways of Seeing, Thinking, Being and Leading for the 21st Century” which has a growing and activated alumnae base of 2,000 people from 80 countries. A member of the Club of Rome, John was featured in the 2021 award winning documentary, Going Circular, with James Lovelock.
The polycrisis is upon us, the interconnected and cascading economic, social, ecological, and now political crises we all must learn to navigate. As Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney shared at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the world economic order has been ruptured.
But what will come next? Is there a credible pathway forward through the polycrisis that can unlock presently unseen abundance?
Tonight we'll discuss the possibilities for reinvention with a luminary who has dedicated his life to humanity's transition to a regenerative paradigm.
OUR CHEF:
Chef Anthony Giacobbe has been cooking local farm-to-table cuisine for over twenty years. He got his start working directly with farmers and produce grown at Esalen, California's legendary retreat center in Big Sur.
Chef Anthony's cooking is a celebration of freshness, seasonality, and cultural fusion. His commitment to regenerative farms and his love for Asian cuisine continue to redefine the culinary landscape, offering a unique and delicious experience that stays true to the roots of California's rich agricultural heritage.
Anthony also spent a year traveling through Latin America and has a great respect for all things taco.
