French Embassy Carnival: A Night on the Riviera with French Food and Wine

We cordially invite you to the French Riviera, one of the most exciting places on earth, to celebrate Mardi Gras and the Carnival of Nice on French soil as we welcome you to a special evening at the Embassy of France!

From the elegance of classical French culture to the most celebrated Rivera nightlife of the 21st Century, experience a special evening of fantastic French food, wine, music, and ambiance.

Enjoy the flavors of Nice, Monaco, and St. Tropez in the beautiful and festive Maison Francaise at the French embassy.

Take the opportunity to network with fellow Francophiles, French VIPs, diplomats, professionals and business people in the wonderful Maison Francaise at the French Embassy.

5 Types of Tickets

Cannes, Premium Reception: walk the red carpet at 7pm, and stay until the end of the event. Enjoy a glass of Champagne when you arrive, special hors-d'oeuvres prepared by the French Embassy's Executive Chef Daniel Labonne, high-end wines from France, and live French songs and music. No guaranted seating.

St Tropez: Enter at 8pm. Open bar, food, music and entertainment. No guaranteed seating.

Monte Carlo, VIP Table for Singles: From 7:00pm to 11:00pm (includes Premium Reception). You will seat at a reserved table in a ropped-off prime area, with up to 3 others guests. Unlimited Champagne, wine and personal service during the entire event. Very limited number of tables. Please reserve early. An opportunity to make new friends and maybe plan a trip together on the French Riviera?

Monte Carlo, VIP Table for Couples: From 7:00pm to 11:00pm (includes Premium Reception). You will seat at a reserved table for just you two, in a roped-off prime area, with unlimited Champagne, wine and personal service during the entire event. Very limited number of tables so reserve early.

Monte Carlo, VIP Table for 4: From 7:00pm to 11:00pm (includes Premium Reception). You will seat at a reserved table for you and up to 3 of your friends, in a roped-off prime area, with unlimited Champagne, wine and personal service during the entire event. Very limited number of tables so reserve early.

For security reasons, all persons attending the event must be registered via this site.

For security reasons, there will be no parking inside the Embassy. Public parking is available on Reservoir Rd. However, we strongly advise you to use a car-sharing service.

This is an adult-only event. No one under 21 allowed.

Dress Code options: Cocktail attire or Carnival costume.

The event is organized by the French American Chamber of Commerce as a festival of French wine and hors-d'oeuvres. As such there are many facets to the evening and the evening is planned so that you can mingle and walk inside the embassy to discover and celebrate French culture and cuisine. Kindly note that the event is not organized as a seated function or dinner event but rather as a cocktail reception with light fare.

Due to security considerations at the embassy, we are unable to accept walk-ins. You must reserve a ticket in advance to attend this event. Absolutely no door sales. All guests must be strictly 21 and over.

All persons attending the event must be registered via this site. If you purchase multiple tickets, please provide us the name of EACH guest. For table of 2 or 4, register a single person and we will be reaching out prior to the event for the names of your guests. We must receive the names of ALL guests 48 hours prior to the date of the event.

Due to security reasons, there will be no parking inside the Embassy. Public parking is available on Reservoir Rd and across the street at Georgetown University Hospital's parking garage. Please verify parking times and rates at the time you park.
