About This Event

A training for mental health professionals to enhance self-awareness and skill around supporting grieving clients in the clinical setting.

Complete your Ethics CE requirement while learning how to better support clients experiencing grief. This session addresses the unique ethical dilemmas in grief counseling, including maintaining confidentiality after a client's death and navigating personal feelings as a counselor. It provides a framework for decision-making and emphasizes the importance of professional competence, self-awareness, and cultural sensitivity.

This in-person training will answer many questions including:

  • When is professional intervention for grief warranted?
  • Do children grieve like adults?
  • How does "Grief Tech" impact mourning?
  • What implications do culture and spirituality have on grief?
  • What about "Prolonged Grief Disorder?"
  • How do I manage my own grief while still showing up for my clients?

and more!

Presenter: Ali Drescher, MA, LPC, Fellow in Thanatology: Death, Dying & Bereavement

Cost per participant is just $50.00 for 3 CEUs.
