About This Event
Create your own air-dry clay tile using cultural patterns and motifs, celebrating identity through a hands-on, family-friendly workshop!
Join us at Te Toi Uku Crown Lynn & Clay Museum for a hands-on creative workshop celebrating cultural identity through clay. As part of the World of Cultures Festival, participants of all backgrounds are invited to craft a personalised air-dry clay tile using patterns, motifs, and symbols from around the world. Express your cultural heritage through designs inspired by your ancestry, traditions, or personal story. Once shaped, you can take your tile home or return to paint it after it has dried. This inclusive, family-friendly event encourages creativity, storytelling, and pride in the many cultures that make our community unique. Celebrate diversity and leave with a handmade piece of art that reflects who you are.
