La editorial irlandesa Skein Press presenta en Madrid el doble lanzamiento de dos poemarios en traducción al inglés como parte de la celebración de la Semana de Irlanda.

Acompáñanos para una conversación y el lanzamiento de los aclamados poemarios Baleas e Baleas de Luisa Castro, traducido por Keith Payne y El llibru póstumu de Sherezade, de Raquel F. Menéndez traducido por Robin Munby.

Luisa Castro es poeta y novelista. Publicó Baleas e Baleas en 1988, poemario considerado fundamental para entender la poesía gallega contemporánea. Ha recibido el Premio Hiperión, el Premio Rey Juan Carlos y el Premio Biblioteca Breve, entre otros. Actualmente es directora del Instituto Cervantes de Dublín. Whales and Whales es la primera traducción al inglés de esta obra de culto.

Raquel F. Menéndez es poeta e investigadora. Ganó el XI Certamen de Poesía Nené Losada Rico con El llibru póstumu de Sherezade, que fue reconocido como Mejor Libro del Año 2017 por la Tertulia Literaria Malory.

Irish publisher Skein Press presents in Madrid the double launch of two poetry collections in English translation as part of the Irish Week celebration.

Join us for a conversation and launch of acclaimed poetry collections Whales and Whales by Luisa Castro, translated by Keith Payne, and The Posthumous Book of Shahrazad by Raquel F. Menéndez, translated by Robin Munby.

Luisa Castro is a poet and novelist. She published Baleas e Baleas in 1988, a collection considered essential to understanding contemporary Galician poetry. She has received the Hiperión Prize, the King Juan Carlos Prize, and the Biblioteca Breve Prize, among others. She is currently Director of the Cervantes Institute in Dublin. Whales and Whales is the first English translation of this cult work.

Raquel F. Menéndez is a poet and researcher. She won the XI Nené Losada Rico Poetry Prize with El llibru póstumu de Sherezade, which was recognized as Best Book of the Year 2017 by the Malory Literary Circle.
