Celebrating Irish-American Heritage Month

Irish American Heritage Month was designated in 1991 to recognize the rich history and cultural impact that the Irish brought to America through their deep devotion to the arts, including music, art, and storytelling.

Join us for a memorable evening as we welcome performers from the Irish Repertory Theatre and Ciaran O'Reilly, Producing Artistic Director as the company performs scenes from their 2024 production of "Philadelphia, Here I Come!" The scenes, with stage direction by Nicola Murphy, will include the three original actors, AJ Shively, David McElwee, and Terry Donnelly who emote the internal struggle and angst of leaving Ireland for the unknown, but promised "better life in America".

We are also delighted to welcome back Mary Deady, the great Irish-born chanteuse and her Musical Director, Jeff Cubeta who will present a medley of poignant Irish and American songs, from the Irish language to the Great White Way. Our finale will include a performance by Niall O'Leary, a world champion Irish dancer and musical instrumentalist from Dublin. Niall will lead a performance with the competitive dancers from his school, The Niall O'Leary School of Irish Dance, followed by a musical performance accompanied by Seaghan Schrock, an Irish fiddler, which will send us off in a celebratory, toe tapping mode!
