Celebrate the Español Collection launch with LACAT at Hobart Library

Celebrate the launch of the Spanish / Español Collection, donated by the Latin American Cultural Association of Tasmania (LACAT).

This will be a unique collection for Hobart Library. The celebration will be led by LACAT - enjoy a lively and interactive morning of stories, songs, dance, live music, and traditional Latin American snacks. This all‑ages event invites the community to discover Spanish language and culture while inspiring a love of reading and cross‑cultural connection.

To help make a successful event:

• Don't come if you're unwell.

• Let us know if you can't come - we'll cancel your booking so others can register instead.

• By registering for a Libraries Tasmania event, you agree to follow our policies – including the Responsible Conduct Policy and Safeguarding Children Policy. Thank you for helping keep our spaces safe and respectful for everyone.

• Tell us if you need assistance or if you'll be accompanied by a support person.

• There are two designated mobility parking spaces next to the library, with a 2-hour parking limit.

• The library has a wheelchair accessible elevator.

• An accessible restroom is available.

• Parking is available in Melville Street, across the road from the Library.
