At a moment when LGBTQIA+ communities are facing unprecedented attacks on our rights, our resources, and our funding, gathering in joy is not escapism. It is resistance.

For 47 years, Bunnies on the Bayou has stood as proof that visibility, celebration, and community care are powerful acts of defiance. When we dance, when we give, when we show up for one another, we embody resilience. Our very existence is a protest, and our joy is how we endure.

Bunnies on the Bayou returns to Seesquintennial Park in Downtown Houston on Sunday, April 5, 2026, celebrating our 47th year with a bold affirmation of life, love, and collective power under our 2026 theme, Resistance in Bloom.

From 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sesquicentennial Park will transform into an outdoor celebration of music, movement, and community. Guests can expect live DJs on the main stage, dancing, sponsor activations, drinks, food for purchase, and shared moments that remind us why gathering still matters.

This is a 21+ event with no exceptions.
