Bromeliads: Exotica

Bromeliads are a family of monocot flowering plants of about 80 genera and 3,700 known species, native mainly to the tropical Americas, but also the American subtropics and one from tropical west Africa.

This is a public event for anyone with an interest in the botanical, cultural, and local histories of the Bromeliad family, Bromeliaceae.

‘Bromeliads: Exotica’ is a collaboration between Liverpool Botanical Trust and the Research Institute for Literature and Cultural History at LJMU. Lunch and refreshments are provided in the ticket price.
