Our walk will follow the new Portmarnock to Baldoyle Greenway, which will take us along the estuary to Sutton. From Sutton, we’ll walk anti-clockwise around the Howth peninsula and enjoy stunning views of Dublin Bay, the Wicklow coastline and offshore islands. We'll take a lunch break somewhere along the cliff walk before finishing at Howth Dart station to complete the walk.

This walk is easy-to-moderately difficult, so bring comfortable trail shoes or walking boots (non-trail runners are not recommended). Don't forget to pack water (around 750ml to 1litre), snacks/lunch, waterproof jacket and over-trousers. You may optionally bring walking poles. Please do not wear cotton T-shirts or jeans.

What to bring on the day:

• Water (around 750ml to 1litre) and snacks/lunch
• Trail shoes/ walking boots (non-trail runners not recommended)
• Waterproof jacket and over-trousers (this is Ireland after all!)
• Walking poles (optional)
