Assembly: Together We Grow art exhibit opening reception

From council circles of Indigenous nations to agoras of ancient Greece, and from impromptu storm shelters to reliable weekly spiritual gatherings and intimate family dinners, gathering has shaped how we live and how we imagine better ways of living together. It is one of the essential tools we have for building trust, sharing knowledge, and making meaning across generations.

The Assembly: Together We Grow art exhibit at Del Ray Artisans delves into the fundamental human act of gathering and how it helps us grow, care for one another, and cultivate belonging. This member artist showcase explores gathering not just as a moment in time, but as a powerful mechanism through which we sustain and reimagine the world together.

The Assembly: Together We Grow exhibit runs March 6-28, 2026 at Del Ray Artisans gallery in the Colasanto Center, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia 22301. Gallery hours are Thursday 12-6pm, Friday 12-9pm, Saturday 12-6pm, and Sunday 12-6pm (closed March 1 and March 29).

The gallery is free, open to the public, and accessible. Del Ray Artisans, a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote art for the benefit of artists and the community.
