About This Event

This inspiring one-man play challenges us to look again at Jesus of Nazareth and consider the meaning of his life, death and resurrection.

An Impossible God
The Passion Play

Palestine AD32 is brought to life in the Passion play An Impossible God as a host of characters including servants, soldiers and disciples speak of what they witnessed.
An Impossible God is a powerful exploration of the historical events at the heart of the Christian faith. This inspiring one-man play challenges us to look again at Jesus of Nazareth and consider the meaning of his life, death and resurrection.
Whether you have a faith background or are simply curious, it is an opportunity to reconsider the Passion story.

Frank Topping was brought up a Roman Catholic in Birkenhead. He became an actor, writer, broadcaster and Methodist Minister. An Impossible God is based on the Catholic devotional practice of the Stations of the Cross.

Mark Topping is a professional actor. He has toured the country performing his father's Passion play and performed in a host of other productions from Shakespeare to Peter Pan. He has appeared in a number of feature films. In May he has a lead role in Travels With My Aunt at the Coach House Theatre in Malvern.
