About This Event
We're hugely excited to welcome writing duo Evelyn Clarke to St. James's Church, Piccadilly.
Join us at St. James’s Church for an unmissable event with Evelyn Clarke, the writing duo made up of bestselling authors V.E. Schwab and Cat Clarke, as we celebrate the publication of their new novel The Ending Writes Itself.
Set on a private island in Scotland, this deliciously sly locked-room mystery that doubles as a gimlet-eyed satire of the publishing industry pitches six mid-list writers against each other in a high-stakes competition to write the perfect ending to a dead author's unfinished manuscript.
It was a dark and stormy night when Number One Sunday Times bestselling author V.E. Schwab proposed an absurd idea to longtime friend and screenwriter Cat Clarke: that they should write a book together. Schwab is the bestselling author of more than 20 books, including the Shades of Magic series, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil, but had sworn she would never co-write a novel. While Clarke has worked as an editor and the author of several YA novels, including Girlhood and Entangled, but left publishing to work in the film industry, "swearing she’d never return to books".
The Book & Ticket bundle includes a pre-signed copy of The Ending Writes Itself and a tote bag, available for collection at the event.
Please note the bundle also including a t shirt has now sold out.
Please note that this event will not include a live book signing.
