A VERY GOOD IMPROV & ACTING SUMMER CAMP FOR AGES 9-13 – Welcome to Improv - With Syd Campbell

ONE WEEK. FIVE CLASSES. ONE SHOW. $380

Monday to Friday, March 23 - March 27

9:30am - 12:30pm PST

LOCATION: Carousel Theatre Studios- Studio C

Recommended age for this camp is 9 -13 years old.

This course, for 9-13 year olds, is the improv spring break camp the entire faculty wishes we’d had when we were growing up. Led by pro comedian and youth educator Syd Campbell, this course will offer deep dives into the skills and delights of improvising comedy.

Each day, the group will learn the skills and techniques of comedy-first improv, moving from the fundamentals to more advanced concepts as the week progresses, from how to make great offers to how to gracefully edit from one scene to another.

This class will have an added focus on acting and performance skills! That means it’s a perfect fit for those who want to learn how improv can support acting for film and stage, and vice versa!

Students do not need to have comedy experience to take this class, and those that do have experience will have plenty to enjoy as well. If you have questions or comments about this (or any!) class feel free to reach out to classes@blindtigercomedy.ca – we’ll get right back to you.

Refunds & Cancellations – Registration is non-refundable within two weeks of a class' start date. Refunds for class fees are available prior to the two week cut off, however Eventbrite fees will not be refunded. Accessibility - Studio C in Carousel is an accessible space on the ground floor of the building.

Show Day Information - Wondering when your shows are? 95% of BTC shows are on Wednesday nights at 7PM or 9PM. Your exact show schedule will be sent on the first weekend of your class!
