The Shadid Award is presented in memory of Anthony Shadid ’90, a University of Wisconsin–Madison journalism alum and former board member of the Center for Journalism Ethics. A two-time recipient of the Pulitzer Prize, Shadid reported on the Middle East for the Washington Post and New York Times and remains one of the most admired international correspondents of our time.

This event will feature a keynote conversation on journalism ethics with The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg conducted by award-winning journalist David Maraniss.
