About this Teacher Training Course:
Aerial Yoga is a suspension exercise that integrates traditional Yoga asana with concepts of aerial arts. This 18 hours Aerial Yoga teacher training serves as an entry point of your aspiring Aerial Yoga teaching journey as we will discuss topics including but not limited to the foundation and history of Aerial Yoga, set up, functional anatomy, teaching methodology, safety management and sequencing techniques. This course is designed for Yoga instructors to expand their teaching repertoire and Aerial Yoga Practitioners to deepen their knowledge.

Agenda

Day 1 - Friday 1830-2130 (3 hours)

* 1 hour Aerial Yoga Decompression Class

* Course introduction

* Aerial Yoga background (history, development, philosophy)

* Teaching methodology

Day 2 - Saturday 0900-1730 (8.5 hour per day with 1 hour lunch 12:30 - 13:30)

* 1 hour Aerial Yoga Class (Mobility)

* Apparatus set-up

* Guiding Principles of Aerial Yoga: flexibility, strength, decompression

* Class Management: cueing, class planning, spotting and management, safety precautions

* Anatomy and biomechanics

* Art of Sequencing

* Practicum

Day 3 - Sunday 0900-1730 (8.5 hour per day with 1 hour lunch 12:30 - 13:30)

* 1 hour of Therapeutic Aerial Yoga Class

* Advanced sequence

* Anatomy and biomechanics

* Sequence breakdown, analysis

* Practicum

* Teaching assessment (20 mins each)
